An Anticipated Session for the Lebanese Government and the Hezbollah Weapons File on the Table

All eyes are turning tomorrow towards the Lebanese arena, which is witnessing one of the most complex and sensitive files, namely the disarmament of Hezbollah.
This session is expected to be decisive in determining the government's vision regarding the Hezbollah weapons file, and whether it will make a direct decision to establish the executive mechanisms and timeline for disarmament.
While Hezbollah sees its weapons as a necessity in light of the threat posed by Israel in the region, at the same time, it asks the government whether disarming Hezbollah will actually lead to a cessation of Israeli attacks and whether it will ensure Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
These questions have not been answered by the Lebanese government before, nor has the American envoy to Lebanon, Thomas Barak, provided any guarantees, stating that the United States does not obligate Israel to anything.
