Monaco announced the signing of the young Spanish striker Ansu Fati from Barcelona on loan for one season.
Fati arrived in the principality on Thursday evening and successfully underwent routine medical checks, making him ready to officially join the team starting from July 1st.
The loan agreement includes a clause that allows Monaco to buy the player for 11 million euros at the end of the season, while Barcelona will bear part of the salary of the international player who has participated in 11 matches with the Spanish national team and scored two goals.
In another strengthening move, former French international Paul Pogba passed his medical examination with Monaco on Friday, paving the way for his official joining of the team after the end of his 18-month suspension due to doping.
Monaco also added the veteran English defender Rio Ferdinand to their ranks, coming on a free transfer after his contract with Bayern Munich expired.
Ansu Fati, Pogba, and Rio Ferdinand will be officially presented to the media on July 3rd.
