Angelina Jolie, the global star and former goodwill ambassador, has returned to shed light on the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza through a powerful humanitarian message she posted on her official Instagram account, based on a report by "Doctors Without Borders."
In her post, Jolie reposted a picture from Jabalia camp, torn apart by the aggression, stating that Gaza has become "a mass grave for Palestinians and anyone trying to help them," as mentioned in the accompanying report.
The report by "Doctors Without Borders" documents the escalation of Israeli attacks through aerial, ground, and naval bombardment, and speaks of grave violations including forced displacement, deprivation of basic humanitarian aid, as well as direct threats to the lives of relief and healthcare workers.
Jolie not only shared the report but also endorsed the organization's call to immediately lift the "inhumane" blockade on Gaza, calling for the protection of civilians and medical and relief workers, and for the restoration and commitment to a ceasefire by all parties.
This is not the first time Jolie has expressed solidarity with Gaza; in November 2023, she described the situation there as catastrophic, affirming that "this is a deliberate bombing of besieged residents with no escape," adding:
"Gaza has been an open-air prison for 20 years, and it is rapidly turning into a mass grave."
The new post has once again highlighted the tragic humanitarian reality in the region, at a time when scenes of destruction and suffering persist, and the voices of victims seek someone to convey their cries to the world.
