An explosion on a ship carrying methanol at the port of Dayr in Iran resulted in the death of 3 people and injury of 10.

A large fire broke out today, Wednesday, on a ship loaded with petrochemicals while it was docked at the pier of Dayyer Port in Bushehr Province, southern Iran, resulting in the death of three people and injuring ten others.
Iranian state television reported that the fire occurred inside a petrochemicals complex, indicating casualties. Footage aired by local media showed high flames and thick black smoke engulfing the area, especially from the "Kaveh Petrochemicals" factory in the coastal city of Dayyer, located 1200 kilometers from the capital, Tehran.
On the other hand, the spokesperson for the Red Crescent Society stated in a special statement to "Tasnim" agency: "We received a report of a fire that broke out on a ship at the pier of Kaveh Methanol Company, and immediately dispatched an ambulance and two heavy-duty rescue vehicles equipped with rescue equipment to the scene of the incident."
The governor of Dayyer City announced that the fire resulted from an explosion that occurred during welding operations on board the ship, leading to the ignition of the fire. Firefighting, rescue, and relief teams immediately responded to the scene, and firefighting operations are still ongoing.
