American Coco Gauff won the French Open tennis championship for the first time on Saturday, coming from behind to defeat Aryna Sabalenka 6-7, 6-2, 6-4. This marks Gauff's second title in the Grand Slam women's singles competitions after winning the US Open in 2023. Sabalenka, from Belarus, missed out on her fourth Grand Slam title, having previously won the Australian Open in 2023 and 2024, as well as the US Open in 2024.
