American Senator Welcomes Ceasefire in Syria, Emphasizes the Importance of Unity and Stability of the Country

American Senator Joe Wilson, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Middle East Affairs in Congress, welcomed the ceasefire agreement in Syria, emphasizing that "everyone's interest lies in Syria being unified and stable".

This came in a tweet posted by Wilson on the "X" platform, where he said: "I welcome the ceasefire in Syria, and offer my sincere condolences to all the victims who have fallen due to the unfortunate events in southern Syria in recent days".

This statement comes after the Syrian Arab Republic Presidency announced in an official statement a "comprehensive ceasefire", calling on all parties to "immediately adhere to it".
