The Transport Directorate in Aleppo province returned today to carry out its activities from its main headquarters in the Al-Naqeirin area, after completing the first stage of renovation works that lasted several months, in a new step to enhance service efficiency and provide a more advanced work environment that meets the increasing needs of citizens.

The building was officially inaugurated in the presence of the Assistant Minister of Transport for Land Transport Affairs, Mohammad Rahal, and Aleppo Governor, Engineer Azzam Al-Gharib, as part of a comprehensive renovation plan aimed at achieving integrated and modern transport services in the upcoming period.

Ahmad Al-Hallou, Assistant Director of Transportation, confirmed that the building is currently operating on the ground floor and the first floor, providing multiple services including:
Vehicle technical inspection
Registration and installation of traffic signs
Renewal of driving licenses and vehicle registration

This is within modern and fully equipped halls, facilitating transaction processing and providing a suitable service environment, compared to the temporary headquarters that previously suffered from weak capabilities and a lack of basic service conditions.

On the other hand, the head of the Information Technology Department, Basal Agha Al-Qalaa, pointed out that about 70% of the directorate's building had been damaged due to shelling during the previous period, but intensive efforts have restored about 30% of the building to service, in conjunction with the implementation of digital transformation steps adopted by the ministry to keep pace with technological developments and facilitate procedures for citizens.

This step is part of a series of projects to rebuild and modernize the transportation infrastructure in Syria, especially in the affected cities, where modern technology is being integrated into administrative and service work to enhance performance efficiency and speed of completion.
