Al-Suwayda Governorate Clarifies the Reasons for the Delay in Salary Payments in Some Government Departments

The Al-Suwayda Governorate issued an official statement today, Friday, revealing the real reasons behind the delay in salary payments in several government departments during the recent period, emphasizing its commitment to transparency and clarifying the facts to public opinion.

The governorate explained that the delay is due to three main factors:

- Administrative Shortcomings: Some directorates did not submit their work reports and requirements according to the proper procedures, which led to the disruption of the financial processes related to salary payments, negatively affecting the entitlements of employees.
- Illegal Interventions: Some institutions experienced pressure from unofficial entities that reached the level of threats, disrupting the workflow and preventing the departments from performing their duties normally.
- Illegal Changes in Management: Some department directors were changed by individual decisions without referring to the relevant ministry, causing a disruption in financial and administrative coordination, and leading to the disbursement of funds in illegal ways.

The governorate confirmed that these irresponsible actions hinder the work of the Ministry of Finance and prevent it from carrying out disbursement operations regularly, which increases the suffering of citizens and affects their living stability.

The governorate called on the concerned parties to assume their responsibilities and respect the legal and institutional frameworks, to ensure the regularity of administrative and financial work, and to safeguard the rights of employees who make significant efforts in serving the nation.
