Al-Shaybani: We affirm our commitment to protecting our people in Sweida from all components

Following his meeting with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and the U.S. envoy to Syria, Thomas Barak, in the capital Amman, Al-Shaybani added via the "X" platform: "Our Druze people are an integral part of Syria, and they have their historical and national status. We categorically reject any attempt to place them in a marginalization or exclusion equation under any pretext or circumstance."
He mentioned that "the Syrian government reaffirms its constant readiness to continue sending aid to our people in Sweida, and to support initiatives aimed at restoring services, enhancing reconciliation, and bridging the gap with the state."
He continued: "We reiterate that justice begins with accountability, and we are committed to holding accountable anyone who has committed violations from any party, because accountability is the best path towards a state of law and justice."
Al-Shaybani said: "We believe that the future of Syria can only be built through dialogue, justice, and respect for pluralism and comprehensive national reconciliation for all Syrians without discrimination."
