Al-Hajri demands the cessation of "unjustified" military operations in the Syrian coast and warns of their humanitarian consequences.

Sheikh Hikmat Al-Hajri, the spiritual leader of the Druze Muslim Unification sect, called for an immediate halt to "unjustified" military operations on the Syrian coast, warning against the continued loss of innocent lives and the worsening of the humanitarian crisis in the region.
This came in a statement by Al-Hajri, in which he appealed to "brothers in the same homeland," emphasizing the need to respect international law and norms, and to stop the bloodshed that threatens Syria's future.
Al-Hajri stated in his statement that "the Syrian coast is ablaze, and innocent lives are being lost mercilessly, while people flee seeking shelter from the fires of a merciless war."
He added that "these unjustified military operations only bring more bloodshed and tension," stressing his rejection of "this deliberate killing" that contradicts humanitarian principles and brotherhood.
Al-Hajri urged all parties to "adhere to the law, principles, and international norms, and to the religious principles that prohibit the killing of innocents and civilians," emphasizing that "any guilty party must be held accountable under the umbrella of law, justice, and away from the language of violence and revenge."
He also called on the guarantor countries of the conflicting parties to assume their responsibilities and take immediate measures to stop the humanitarian tragedy without hesitation or double standards.
Al-Hajri warned of the repercussions of continuing violence, saying: "The fires ignited under sectarian slogans will burn all of Syria and its people," calling on the wise from all sides to "intervene immediately to stop the bloodshed and prevent the country from sliding into a disastrous abyss," and emphasizing that "disputes must be resolved at the negotiating table, not on the battlefield, and not by killing innocents."
Al-Hajri pointed out that the Druze have been and will remain "advocates of peace," expressing his dream of a homeland "that embraces everyone and leaves its children a future that does not lead them to battlefields."
He called for "extinguishing the flames of hatred" and "reminding that humanity is the common denominator that unites us all, above any affiliation or difference," and urged to stop the systematic incitement campaigns aimed at stirring up discord, affirming that "our role is to be advocates of love and peace, not an image of the system of killing and crime."
Al-Hajri concluded his appeal by emphasizing the necessity of "ceasing fire and ending the infighting," calling on the people of Syria, local and international leaderships, and the United Nations to "play their role in resolving conflicts, stopping the killing, and spreading peace immediately and urgently," and stating that "we are all one people and all brothers," expressing his deep sorrow for "every drop of blood shed today, as it is a loss for all of Syria."
