Al-Azhar Sharif strongly condemned the Israeli attacks on Syria, affirming that they reflect Israel's agenda in spreading chaos and instability, and its repeated violations against the countries and peoples of the region.

Al-Azhar Sharif said in a statement today: "The Israeli attacks on Syria aim to push the entire region to the brink of explosion, achieving Israel's goals of expansion, seizing lands, and occupying larger areas, amidst the usual international silence, and blatant violations of international and humanitarian law."

Al-Azhar Sharif also pointed out that the strength of the Syrians lies in their unity amidst their diversity and their ability to positively coexist with their different religions and sects, urging everyone to be vigilant against attempts to sow division and sectarian strife to achieve Zionist agendas to divide Syria, as part of a larger plan to turn the entire region into a battlefield and a sustainable hotspot for conflicts.

Al-Azhar called on the Syrians to adhere to the stability of Syria and preserve its territorial integrity, praying to Allah to protect the Syrian people from all harm and evil, to unite their word and unify their ranks, and to ward off discord and evil schemes from them.
