Today, Saturday, Egyptian club Al-Ahly renewed its demand towards the Egyptian Football Association led by Hani Abu Reda to have its match against its rival Zamalek in the Egyptian League officiated by a foreign referee.
Al-Ahly also stated in an official statement that it requested the association to appoint a foreign referee from one of the major European leagues.
It is worth mentioning that the summit match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek will take place on February 22 in the 15th round of the league.
Al-Ahly currently holds the second position with 26 points, ahead of Zamalek in third place with 23 points, while the leader is Pyramids with 27 points.
