The Public Relations Director at the Syrian Ministry of Information, Ali Al-Rifai, denied today, Thursday, that there is any normalization with the Israeli media, after "Kan 11" channel published a recording of a phone interview conducted by an Israeli journalist with him.

The Israeli "Kan 11" channel had published a recording of a phone interview conducted by the Israeli journalist Roee Kais with Al-Rifai, where the latter spoke about Syria's desire for peace with all countries in the region "without exception," confirming that his country is tired of wars and seeks peace.

According to the recording published by the Israeli channel, Al-Rifai said, "Syria seeks to establish peace in the region, and we as a country want peace, not war," adding that his country is emerging from war. He continued, "We want peace with everyone."

In response to a question about whether Israel is also included, he replied, "With everyone without exception," according to the recorded video published by the Hebrew channel.

He added, "Yes, peace with everyone, we want the region to live in stability and do not want any war with anyone else."

Al-Rifai continued, "We want Syria to live in stability and peace, this is the right of the Syrian people, and we do not want anyone to encroach on Syrian territories," urging the host to accurately convey his words.

He added, "It is the duty of the Israeli forces to withdraw from the recently advanced territories, this is the right of the Syrian people."

In response to the journalist's statement, "You are telling Israel that there is a historic opportunity now," Al-Rifai said, "Yes, but Israel must abide by the previous agreements with Syria since the 1970s and other agreements."

Al-Rifai also posted on his official Facebook page, saying, "When the Israeli journalist contacted me today, I was not aware of his identity, and I thought he was the British journalist who visited me in the office during the liberation period."

He added, "And during today's phone call, he did not disclose his work with the Israeli Channel 11, and his number was not registered with me."

Al-Rifai continued, "He did not convey my words in full, but rather omitted part of the conversation, although my answer was precise and as follows:

"Syria is a sovereign state, and Israel must withdraw from all recently occupied areas and adhere to the international agreements signed with the United Nations. The Syrian state seeks peace with everyone, after long years of war and exhaustion." He emphasized that "there will be no normalization with the Israeli media."

The post concluded by saying, "Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity are our top priorities."
