After a Long Break .. Air Travel Between Syria and Libya

The head of the General Authority for Civil Aviation in Syria announced today, Sunday, the resumption of air travel between Syria and Libya after years of interruption.
The head of the authority, Ashad Sallabi, explained that the flights will be operated from Damascus and Aleppo airports to Tripoli and Benghazi airports, via Syrian Airlines, without specifying a precise date for the first flights, according to the newspaper "Al-Watan".
He pointed out that this step comes within the framework of expanding the air transport network, confirming that coordination is ongoing with the relevant authorities in Libya to ensure the operation of flights in accordance with the technical and security conditions followed.
Syrian Airlines had previously announced the operation of direct flights from Aleppo International Airport to Istanbul and Dubai, starting from the 7th of this current month.
In a related context, Royal Jordanian Airlines resumed its flights last week from Queen Alia International Airport to Aleppo Airport in Syria, making it one of the first airlines to resume direct flights to the city.
