Abunayan: Establishment of Saudi-Syrian Business Council Comes at an Important Time

In statements to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA" today, Friday, Abunayan explained that the council has begun developing a work plan for the years 2025-2030, aiming to enhance sustainable economic cooperation between the Kingdom and Syria, highlight opportunities, support strategic partnerships, and facilitate trade and logistical procedures for Saudi company exports.
Abunayan also emphasized that the plan focuses on enabling the Saudi private sector to invest in reconstruction and sustainable development opportunities in Syria by supporting exports, streamlining procedures, particularly in priority sectors including infrastructure, commerce, export development, real estate, tourism, industry, and food security.
He noted that the council's membership includes a select group of influential Saudi officials and investors internationally, enhancing the success of its operations and achieving its goals in supporting the commercial and investment relations between the two countries.
In the presence of Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shar'a, the Syrian-Saudi Investment Forum was held yesterday, Thursday, July 24, at the People's Palace in Damascus, with the participation of ministers, businessmen, and investors. 47 agreements and memoranda of understanding worth 6 billion dollars were signed, in a significant step towards establishing a strategic partnership that enhances economic and investment cooperation between the two fraternal countries.
