A Syrian crowned champion of West Asia in table tennis for young women and a historic qualification for the Asian Championship.

The West Asia Youth Table Tennis Championship concluded on the evening of Friday, April 25, hosted by Saudi Arabia at Al-Qadisiyah Club in Dammam.
The Syrian youth female team achieved a milestone by winning the title after defeating the Saudi and Lebanese teams with a clean sweep, qualifying them for the Asian finals in Uzbekistan.
The Syrian female team included Hind Dhadha, Ebaa Halaq, and Hala Hammameh.
However, the Syrian youth male team did not advance past the preliminary rounds, losing three matches to Saudi Arabia and Bahrain 0/3, and to Qatar 1/3, with a sole victory against Oman 3/0.
The championship showcased the significant progress made by Gulf teams in this sport, thanks to foreign expertise, with intense competition and excitement among the participating teams.
The Syrian youth male team in the championship consisted of Mohammad Salem Dhadha, Ghaith Gharib, and Abdulaziz Mousalli.
