The statement emphasized that this step is in appreciation of the "national role" played by these diplomats in defecting from the previous regime and standing by the Syrian people, indicating that efforts are underway to update the records of expatriates and employees who defected from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during that period.

The Ministry clarified that the deadline for submitting applications is May 31, ensuring the confidentiality of all provided data. It urged defectors to fill out the available form for this purpose as soon as possible.
