A presidential meeting discussing the challenges of official media in Syria and plans for its development.

As part of the continuous interest in developing the media sector and enhancing its national and international presence, President Mr. Ahmed Al-Shar'a held an important meeting with the Minister of Information Mr. Hamza Mustafa and a number of senior ministry officials to present future media visions and plans, discuss the challenges facing the Syrian official media, and develop effective solutions to uplift it.

The meeting witnessed in-depth discussions on the necessity of updating the legislative and administrative structure of the media sector, developing human resources to enhance media performance quality, and keeping pace with the rapid technological and professional advancements in this field.
Emphasis was also placed on the importance of professionalism and objectivity in media discourse, and enhancing public trust in official media institutions.

The President stressed the importance of media as a strategic tool in building societal awareness, conveying facts, confronting internal and external challenges, calling for unified efforts and intensified work to provide content that meets the aspirations of the Syrian people and reflects the true image of the country.

This meeting is part of a series of gatherings aimed at reforming and developing public institutions, starting with the media, to be closer to citizens and more capable of playing its pivotal role in the reconstruction and progress phase.
