The Syrian Meteorological Department predicted a slight increase in temperatures in its daily report for Sunday, April 6, bringing them within the normal range for this time of year.
The forecast indicates a changeable weather condition with partly cloudy skies across the country, with a chance of thunderstorms in the northwestern, coastal, southern regions, some parts of the eastern regions, and the Jazeera, which could be heavy and accompanied by hail at times.
During the night, temperatures are expected to significantly drop, especially in the high mountainous regions.
Winds are expected to be southerly to southwesterly in the southwestern and eastern southern regions, and southerly to southeast in other areas, ranging from light to moderate with gusts reaching speeds of over 50 km/h, potentially causing dust stirring in the southern, eastern regions, and desert areas, while the sea is expected to have light waves.
The Meteorological Department also warned citizens of wind activity reaching speeds of over 80 km/h in the southern, southeastern, and desert regions on Monday, in addition to reduced horizontal visibility due to fog and dust caused by the wind activity, especially in the eastern and desert areas.
