Many people try to lose weight by reducing food intake, following a specific diet, or engaging in high-intensity exercise. However, a recent study issued a frightening warning that losing up to 10 kilograms of weight could lead to early death. According to a report by "Science Alert," many studies have explored the relationship between weight changes and deaths, particularly among obese individuals with heart diseases. The study, based on data from over 8,000 participants in the UK Biobank, revealed that significant weight loss, more than 10 kg, could actually increase the risk of early death in individuals with severe obesity and heart diseases. Despite the known risks of obesity and heart diseases, weight loss in these cases might have adverse effects. The study observed weight changes over an average of nine years, indicating relatively rapid changes for some participants. Researchers suggest that focusing solely on weight loss may not be the best solution, as effective weight loss requires consideration of various factors contributing to weight gain, which vary from person to person. Genetics play a significant role in appetite, metabolism, and lifestyle factors such as overeating, lack of exercise, and unhealthy dietary choices leading to obesity.
