Expect strong winds and dusty weather in several areas of Syria.

The Early Warning Office for Weather Conditions of the Syrian Civil Defense issued a warning today, Tuesday, April 8, about strong winds in southern Syria, accompanied by dusty and hazy conditions in the Jazeera and eastern regions.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Civil Defense, Damascus, Quneitra, and Daraa provinces are expected to experience significant wind activity during the day, with gusts reaching speeds of 70 km/h in the north and east of Sweida, eastern rural Damascus, and eastern Homs.
The statement added that the strong winds will raise dust and reduce visibility in eastern rural Damascus, eastern Aleppo, Homs, Raqqa, Hasakah, and Deir ez-Zor, with the possibility of dust storms in the eastern and Jazeera regions.
The Civil Defense also advised citizens to take preventive measures, such as securing objects prone to falling or flying, adhering to speed limits on roads due to reduced visibility, and avoiding unsafe buildings and walls.
People with respiratory illnesses, especially asthma patients, were advised to wear masks and avoid going out in dusty conditions, while carrying necessary medications and seeking medical attention if symptoms like shortness of breath or nausea occur.
