Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that he had a "productive conversation" with his American counterpart Donald Trump regarding ending the war, sanctions on Russia, and finalizing a deal for drones between the United States and Ukraine.
Trump, who has expressed frustration with Vladimir Putin in recent weeks, has given the Russian president until August 8 to end the war with Ukraine or face harsher sanctions.
In a post on the "X" platform, Zelensky stated that "President Trump is fully aware of the Russian strikes on Kyiv and other cities and regions," referring to the intense Russian attacks with drones and missiles.
He added that Ukraine is also ready to finalize a deal with the United States regarding the production of Ukrainian drones that would be "one of the strongest agreements".
