Zelensky Accuses Russia of Recruiting Foreign Fighters and Describes Them as 'Mercenaries'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described today, Monday, the groups that Ukrainian forces are fighting in the northeast of the country as 'foreign mercenaries' from various countries, including China, Pakistan, and African nations, vowing to respond.
Earlier, Zelensky accused Russia of recruiting Chinese fighters in its war against Ukraine, while Beijing denies these accusations. North Korea has also deployed thousands of its soldiers in the Russian Kursk region.
Following a visit to a frontline area in Kharkiv in the northeast of the country, Zelensky stated via 'X': ' We talked with the leaders about the situation on the front line and the defense of Vovchansk and the dynamics of the battles'.
The Ukrainian president added: 'Our warriors in this sector report the involvement of mercenaries from China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and African countries in the war. We will respond to that'.
