Amid the recent tensions in Syria and the international calls for Israel to withdraw from Syrian territories to preserve the country's unity and sovereignty over its lands.
The newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" stated: "Israel has clarified to Turkey and Syria through intermediaries that it does not intend to stay permanently in the buffer zone."
The Hebrew newspaper added: "Israel does not intend to establish a defensive system in Syria if permanent security arrangements are reached, with Turkey possibly acting as a guarantor."
It is worth noting that southern Syrian regions are witnessing popular movements following recent statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he called for disarmament and for the new Syrian government not to intervene in southern Syria.
