The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said today, Thursday, that the Gaza Strip has witnessed the highest monthly rate of acute malnutrition among children, with an increase in hunger-related deaths in the area.

In statements from the organization's headquarters in Geneva, Ghebreyesus added: "In July, nearly 12,000 children under the age of five were diagnosed with acute malnutrition in Gaza, the highest monthly figure ever recorded."
