Whittaker took 5 hours to assess the situation in Gaza

During the visit of the U.S. Special Envoy, Steve Whittaker, today Friday, to the Gaza Strip to assess the facts on the ground regarding the humanitarian situation and provide them to U.S. President Donald Trump.
Whittaker made his first statement after the visit, saying: "Based on the directives of President Donald Trump, I and Ambassador Mike Huckabee (the U.S. Ambassador to Israel) met with Israeli officials to discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza."
He added: "Today we spent more than five hours inside Gaza to lay the groundwork for the facts on the ground, assess the conditions, and meet with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and other agencies."
He also revealed that "the purpose of the visit is to provide President Trump with a clear understanding of the humanitarian situation and help formulate a plan to deliver food and medical aid to the people of Gaza."
