The country will witness cold and unsettled weather over the next three days, with chances of scattered rain and snow showers on mountainous areas, while temperatures remain below average.
According to the General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts, Wednesday 12/02 and Thursday 13/02 will be cold and partly to mostly cloudy, with varying intensity of rain in most areas, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms, especially in coastal regions.
Snowfall is expected on mountainous areas above 1200 meters, with snow levels dropping at night to include elevations above 1000 meters.
Temperatures will remain about 3 to 5 degrees Celsius below average in most areas, and around 4 to 7 degrees Celsius below average in mountainous regions. The weather will temporarily stabilize in Damascus and all Syrian regions with cold sunny days and very cold nights, continuing until the morning of the following Sunday, 16/02.
