Venezuelan Foreign Minister calls for lifting sanctions on Syria.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Ivan Gil, called for lifting Western sanctions on Syria.

This came during his interview with the Turkish Anadolu Agency on the sidelines of his participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, currently held in its fourth edition in southern Turkey, where he said: "Sanctions on Syria must be lifted completely."

The Venezuelan minister clarified that "his country always stands against unilateral coercive measures, and no country should be subjected to such actions."

Gil pointed out that his country wants the Syrian people to live in peace, decide their destiny while preserving their territorial integrity and sovereignty, emphasizing the importance of establishing peace in Syria for peace in the region.
