Unexpected US Withdrawal from Two Bases in Iraq.. Transfer of Soldiers to Erbil and a Neighboring Country

Informed political sources revealed that the United States has unexpectedly decided to withdraw all its forces from the Al-Asad and Victoria bases in Iraq, in a move described as surprising.
The sources mentioned that US forces have already begun transferring their personnel to Erbil, in addition to a neighboring Arab country, confirming that Washington has informed the Iraqi government that it will expedite the withdrawal process, without adhering to the previously set timeline under the agreement between the two countries.
The spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Nauman, had confirmed days ago that the withdrawal of international coalition forces represents one of the achievements of the government, reflecting Iraq's ability to confront terrorism and maintain internal security without the need for external support.
For its part, the US embassy in Baghdad clarified that the withdrawal of the military coalition does not mean the end of its role, but rather a transition to a traditional bilateral security partnership, while continuing civil and international efforts to combat ISIS.
