Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Syria, Abdul Salam Haykal, discussed with the Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Önal Oğlu, and the Turkish Charge d'Affaires in Damascus, Baran Kork Oğlu, the prospects of technical and technological cooperation, especially in the field of "satellite" internet services via satellites. During the meeting held today at the ministry building, both sides reviewed ways to improve the quality of internet services in Syria, expand them, especially in areas facing weaknesses, including infrastructure. The meeting also addressed identifying the requirements of the communications sector to benefit from satellite internet services, keeping pace with modern technological developments, ensuring access to digital services, enhancing the digital transformation process in Syria, and the ability to introduce these services to the Syrian market.
