Turkish authorities arrested a young actress after she fatally stabbed her friend last night in Istanbul, according to Turkish media reports. Sevil Akgad stabbed her friend Alif Kiraf to death with a knife at her residence in the Fatih area of Istanbul. Akgad, a 32-year-old Turkish actress, stabbed her 29-year-old friend after they returned from a night of heavy drinking. Neighbors tried to save the victim after hearing screams and called the police and ambulance. Police found multiple wounds on the victim's body. Akgad was arrested in Esenyurt suburb of Istanbul based on CCTV footage and witness testimonies and was taken to a court in Caglayan. Akgad stated to the police that she and Alif were friends, drank alcohol outside at night, continued drinking at the scene, and got into a fight in the morning. She claimed she fled in fear after seeing Alif motionless on the ground. Akgad mentioned she couldn't remember anything due to excessive drinking. According to the victim's brother, the forensic institute confirmed 30 stab wounds on the victim's body. The victim's brother was with the actress during the night and left her with his sister, stating that "everything was fine."
