"Turkey Without Terrorism".. How did Ankara react to the Kurdistan Workers' Party handing over its weapons?

Omer Celik, Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party and the party's spokesperson, announced today, Friday, that the first steps in the process of handing over weapons by the Kurdistan Workers' Party organization have been achieved, as part of efforts to achieve the goal of "Turkey Without Terrorism".
Celik said in a statement: "Achieving the goal of 'Turkey Without Terrorism' will lead to our country getting rid of the burden of terrorism, and will contribute to the goal of our region becoming a terrorism-free area", indicating that this path is being guided by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The party's spokesperson added that state institutions, including diplomacy, intelligence, and security agencies, continue their comprehensive efforts on various levels to achieve this goal.
Celik said: "We have crossed a critical threshold at this stage, and now it is necessary to complete the process of handing over the weapons, and to end all branches of the Kurdistan Workers' Party and its illegal structures".
He continued: "With the determination of the President, this process is being implemented as a state project, and vigilance against all forms of provocation continues to ensure the achievement of its goals".
