U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated that the United States has no plans to recognize a Palestinian state, a matter he intends to discuss with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy in a meeting on Friday.
Vance added to reporters: "We have no plans to recognize a Palestinian state. I don't know what recognizing a Palestinian state really means considering there is no effective government there."
He continued: "President Donald Trump is very clear about his goals, what he wants to achieve in the Middle East, and he will continue to do so."
Vance is meeting with Lammy at Chevening House, the rural residence in southern England used by the Foreign Secretary, at the start of a trip to Britain with his family.
