While the conflict in Ukraine continues, Britain has revealed new meetings between world leaders to discuss possible ways to bring about peace. In a new development, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's office announced that Western leaders, including those from the United States, Italy, France, and Germany, discussed the situation in Ukraine. These countries are preparing for a crucial call between US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday, aiming to pressure for an unconditional ceasefire. Meanwhile, European leaders are urging Russia to engage in peace talks seriously, with the possibility of imposing sanctions if Moscow refuses constructive engagement. Trump announced that he will discuss ways to end the war with Putin, expressing hope that Monday will be "fruitful" and contribute to implementing a ceasefire. He also confirmed that he will hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and NATO leaders. In another diplomatic step, talks were held between Moscow and Kyiv in Istanbul, where the two sides discussed exchanging around 1000 prisoners. Although the Ukrainian president had proposed a direct meeting with Putin, the latter rejected the offer and instead sent a diplomatic delegation.
