President Donald Trump confirmed today, Friday, that the recent decision of the trade court to cancel the imposed tariffs was "wrong and biased," expressing hope that the Supreme Court will review and overturn this decision. Trump emphasized the need to allow the President of the United States to protect the national economy from any financial or economic harm, indicating that the Trump administration is considering a temporary plan to reimpose tariffs if legal appeals fail, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. A federal court had ruled to cancel most of the tariffs imposed by Trump at a rate of 10% on imports to the United States from various countries, considering that only Congress is authorized to impose these tariffs. The Trump administration has appealed this ruling to the federal appeals court. In response, White House spokesperson Kush Desai described the judges as "unelected" lacking the ability to manage a national emergency properly, affirming that the administration will use all available executive tools to restore America's greatness. On another note, Trump announced that billionaire Elon Musk will leave the American administration today, Friday, after a tenure of about 130 days as a special advisor in the Federal Government Efficiency Administration. Trump thanked him, calling him "fantastic," and confirming that he will remain supportive of them in the future. Musk had expressed gratitude to President Trump via his account on "X" (formerly Twitter) for the opportunity to assist in reducing government spending, stating that the mission of government efficiency administration will continue to reduce waste and enhance efficiency as part of the government's lifestyle. During his tenure, the administration managed to reduce the number of federal civilian employees, totaling 2.3 million employees, by approximately 12%, equivalent to 260,000 employees, as part of government restructuring and downsizing efforts.
