Trump is considering a visit to Israel before a European tour… and the decision is linked to developments in Gaza

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported on Thursday that U.S. President Donald Trump may visit Israel next September, before his scheduled trip to Britain between the 17th and 19th of the same month, if conditions allow.
Sources in the White House clarified that the potential visit depends on the course of ceasefire talks in Gaza and ending the ongoing war, noting that the decision has not yet been finalized. An American official said: "Trump will visit Britain in September, and it is possible that he will stop in Israel, but it is not certain and depends on developments."
In the same context, two Israeli officials reported that the head of the Mossad, David Barnea, is currently in Qatar to revive ceasefire talks, following a meeting that brought a delegation from Hamas together with the Egyptian intelligence chief in Cairo, where the movement expressed its readiness to return quickly to negotiations.
These political moves come amid escalating ground actions in the Gaza Strip, as the Israeli army controls about 75% of its territory and is preparing, according to Israeli reports, to occupy the entire strip. The Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir had approved, on Wednesday, the "central idea" of the attack plan, while Hamas spoke about Israeli incursions in areas that have been subjected to intense and continuous shelling for days.
