Trump Calls on Federal Reserve to Cut Benchmark Interest Rate by at Least Three Percentage Points
US President Donald Trump today called on the Federal Reserve to cut the benchmark interest rate by at least three percentage points, renewing his call for the US central bank to ease monetary policy to help lower the country's debt servicing costs.

Trump said on "Truth Social": "Interest rates are higher than they should be by at least three points. Severe lag is costing the United States $360 billion annually in debt refinancing for each point. No inflation, companies are flowing into America. The most active country in the world, lower interest rates".
