Trump Calls for Nuclear Disarmament Talks with Russia and China and Hints at Meeting with Kim Jong Un

In statements made to reporters before his meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung at the White House on Monday, Trump said: "Nuclear disarmament is one of the most important goals we seek to achieve with Russia and China, and we cannot allow its proliferation to continue."
He added that Russia has shown a willingness to participate in these efforts, expressing confidence that China will also join the talks, despite its delay in this area, noting that "China will catch up with us in five years."
On another occasion inside the White House, Trump revealed that he discussed this issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin, without specifying a precise date for the conversation, emphasizing that "reducing nuclear weapons will be a key focus, and we will include China in that."
These statements come at a time when Trump expressed his desire to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un this year, despite the latter's disregard for Trump's repeated invitations since the beginning of his second term, which have not previously led to an agreement on Pyongyang's nuclear program.
