As the American president struggles to evade the charges against him, especially those related to the Epstein file linked to sex scandals, manipulated photos and videos showing President Donald Trump alongside sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, created using artificial intelligence tools, have garnered millions of views on social media platforms.
Trump and Epstein, a financial manager who was found dead in his cell in 2019 before facing trial for sex crimes, had a close relationship for years, and there are genuine photos of the two men together.
However, in the past two weeks, with the resurgence of discussions about the Epstein case and Trump's connection to it, 7 photos and one video, created using artificial intelligence, showing them together have garnered at least 7.2 million views across various platforms, according to the NewsGuard group that monitors misinformation.
The video shows the two men dancing near young girls. In two AI-generated images, Trump and Epstein are seated on a couch surrounded by underage girls, a scenario not confirmed by any authenticated photos, according to the group.
