White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt said today, Tuesday, that the United States continues to discuss a proposal for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which the movement has agreed to.

In a press conference at the White House, Levitt added: "I don't think Hamas's acceptance of this proposal is a coincidence as it came after the President of the United States issued a very strong statement about this conflict on the (Truth Social) platform yesterday."
