White House: Confident in Destroying Nuclear Sites and Iran Cannot Close the Strait of Hormuz

Amid escalating conflict and increasing analysis about Iran's recent pressure tactic, the commercial Strait of Hormuz, White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt affirmed today, Monday, that US President Donald Trump is still interested in a diplomatic solution with Iran, while pointing out that Iran cannot close the Strait of Hormuz.

Levitt said in a press statement, "We are confident that Iranian nuclear sites have been completely destroyed, and we are sure that the targeted location is where Iranian enriched uranium was stored."

The spokesperson noted that Washington is closely monitoring the situation regarding the Strait of Hormuz, stating, "It would be foolish for Iran to decide to close it."
