The United Arab Emirates renewed, today Sunday, its position in supporting the Sudanese people in their pursuit of achieving peace and stability and ensuring a dignified future for them.

In a statement reported by the official news agency "WAM", the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "Since the outbreak of the civil war, the UAE has provided continuous support for regional and international efforts aimed at achieving an immediate ceasefire, protecting civilians, and ensuring accountability for those responsible for the violations committed by all warring parties. The UAE reaffirms its commitment to supporting a civilian-led process that prioritizes the needs of the Sudanese people over the interests of any party."

It added: "In this regard, the UAE points to the rise of false claims within a systematic campaign by what is called the 'Port Sudan Authority', one of the parties to the civil war, which seeks to undermine efforts to end the conflict and restore stability."

It continued: "These increasing false allegations are part of a deliberate approach to evade responsibility and blame others, shirking the consequences of their actions, with the aim of prolonging the war and obstructing any genuine path to peace."

The UAE also affirmed its steadfast determination to work closely with its partners to enhance dialogue, mobilize international support, and contribute to initiatives aimed at addressing the humanitarian crisis, and laying the foundations for achieving sustainable peace, contributing to building a safe and stable future for Sudan that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace and development.
