Minister of Health, Dr. Mosaab Al-Ali, met today, Monday, with a delegation from the Turkish Ministry of Health led by the Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Tashkın, to discuss enhancing cooperation in the fields of health and medicine. Both sides discussed the possibility of signing a protocol to operate two hospitals in Damascus for heart diseases and surgeries, and in Aleppo for oncology, ensuring the necessary supplies and staffing with medical personnel. The Turkish delegation stated that the Turkish Ministry of Health is committed to operating the hospitals with a capacity of up to 150 beds per hospital, and improving them to provide the best medical services to the Syrian people. Minister Al-Ali expressed the ministry's readiness to cooperate in any action that serves the interest of patients and improves the healthcare sector, noting that the previous regime left behind a corrupt and devastated healthcare sector. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Hussein Al-Khatib, Director of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Zuhair Qarat, Director of Health in Damascus Dr. Mohammed Akram Muatouk, and several officials.
