The Syrian national football team achieved their first victory in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers against the Pakistani team with two clean goals scored by Ahmed Fakher and the Syrian team captain Omar Al-Somah. Syria secured their first three points on the road to the AFC Asian Cup finals. On the other side of the group, Myanmar defeated Afghanistan 2-1, concluding the first round of matches in Group F of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.
