Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara, his Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani, and the head of General Intelligence Hussein al-Salama received British National Security Advisor Jonathan Powell today, Tuesday, in the capital Damascus.
According to the "SANA" agency, the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and the current regional and international situations.
President al-Shara also confirmed during the meeting Syria's openness to any sincere initiatives that support the security and stability of the region, provided that they respect its sovereignty and independent national decision.
