Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned today, Wednesday, the repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territories and Israel's overt efforts to fuel discord and conflicts in Syria. According to the Arab League website, Aboul Gheit stated during the 163rd regular session of the Ministerial Council in Cairo that it is "essential to stop the genocide war waged by the Israeli occupation on Gaza," noting that the general silence on this inhumane situation is "shameful and disgraceful." Aboul Gheit also condemned Israel's continuous attacks on Lebanon and repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement, explaining that Israel seeks to impose a new reality on the region through ongoing tensions, airstrikes, and buffer zones encroaching on the sovereignty of Arab countries and seizing lands under false pretexts. He called on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation to withdraw from Arab territories.
