The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran issued a statement this evening regarding the targeting of the American Al-Udeid base in Qatar.

The statement by the Revolutionary Guard said: "Following the military aggression carried out by the United States of America against Iranian peaceful nuclear facilities, and its explicit violation of international law, and based on the decision of the Supreme National Security Council, and under the guidance of the Central Seal of the Prophets, the Revolutionary Guard carried out the operation (Bashair Al-Fath), targeting the Al-Udeid base in Qatar, using destructive and powerful missiles".

It added: "This base is the central command headquarters of the air forces, and the largest strategic asset of the US Army in the West Asia region".

The statement also emphasized that Iran "will not leave under any circumstances any attack on its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security without an appropriate response".

It further stated: "The moving military bases and objectives of the United States in the region are not positions of strength, but significant weaknesses for this regime".
