The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, confirmed today, Thursday, that she spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about the developments of the past few days and the next steps.
Zelensky had a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump and European leaders on Wednesday.
A White House official mentioned that Trump may meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin soon, possibly next week.
In a statement on the "X" platform, von der Leyen said: "We discussed the next steps towards a negotiated peace agreement and Ukraine's future membership in the European Union, as well as its reconstruction."
