Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara'a arrived today, Friday, in the city of Homs to lay the foundation stone for several development and investment projects, as part of a government plan aimed at rebuilding affected areas and enhancing local development.

During his visit, President Al-Shara'a met with the notables and dignitaries of Homs Governorate, affirming in a speech before the citizens that "just as the enemies destroyed the city earlier, we will rebuild it with your efforts," before concluding his remarks with a joke that received wide interaction: "Take care of me, I am your son-in-law."

Following his visit to Homs, President Al-Shara'a headed to the city of Hama, where he received a remarkable public reception that included the slaughtering of seven camels in welcome of his arrival, amidst large crowds gathered in Al-Asi Square.

In Hama, the president met with the notables and dignitaries of the governorate and visited Mount Zain Al-Abidin, which was the scene of the fiercest battles to liberate the city from the previous regime, in a symbolic step reflecting the leadership's connection to the sites of national struggle.

This tour comes as part of a series of field visits conducted by President Al-Shara'a to enhance direct communication with citizens and accelerate development in the Syrian governorates.
