The Ministry of Interior issues wide-ranging appointments in the leadership of internal security and enhances security management.

The Ministry of Interior announced a series of new appointments in senior positions to enhance security and administrative work in various provinces. Brigadier Abdelkader Tahhan was appointed as Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs, Brigadier Ahmed Mohamed Latouf as Assistant for Police Affairs, Colonel Ziad Fawaz Al-Ayesh as Assistant for Civil Affairs, and Colonel Basem Abdelhamid Al-Mansour as Assistant for Administrative and Legal Affairs. Engineer Ahmed Mohamed Amin Hafar was appointed as Assistant Minister of Interior for Technical Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Hossam Ramez El-Sheikh Fatouh as Assistant for Human Resources Affairs, in a step to strengthen the technical and human resources within the ministry. As part of enhancing internal security at the provincial level, decisions were made to appoint Colonel Osama Mohamed Khair Aatika as the head of internal security in Damascus, and Colonel Hossam Mamoun Al-Tahan as the head of internal security in the Damascus countryside. The appointments also included other provinces, where Colonel Shaher Jabr Imran was appointed as head of internal security in Daraa, Colonel Marhaf Khaled Al-Naasan in Homs, Colonel Malham Mahmoud Al-Aliwi Al-Shantout in Hama, and Colonel Abdelaziz Hilal Al-Ahmad in Latakia. In the southern provinces, Colonel Mohammed Qusay Youssef Al-Naseer was appointed as head of internal security in Quneitra, and Colonel Ahmed Haitham Al-Dalati in Suwayda. In the northern regions, Colonel Ghassan Mohamed Bakir was appointed in Idlib, and Colonel Mohamed Jumaa Abdelghani in Aleppo. The appointments also covered the provinces of Tartous and Deir ez-Zor, where Colonel Abdel Aal Mohamed Abdel Aal was appointed as head of internal security in Tartous, and Colonel Durar Abdel Razzaq Al-Shamlan in Deir ez-Zor. These appointments come as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Interior to develop and enhance security and administrative performance in various regions of the country, and to consolidate security and stability through a new and qualified leadership cadre.
